In its first week, *You, Me & Tuscany* starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page charmed moviegoers in the U.S., opening with $8 million.
The rom-com follows a 20-something chef amid a quarter-life crisis who jets off to Italy to find herself, and discovers love in the process.
One of the most impressive debuts at the box office this week comes from a movie that’s only playing in one country: Japan’s *Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway*. The 29th anime film in the *Detective Conan* series, *Fallen Angel *earned $26 million (¥1.13 billion) its first weekend.
April 17's openers have little hope of spoiling *Mario*'s party. Wide releases include horror film *Lee Cronin's the Mummy* and Bob Odenkirk in crime thriller *Normal*, while Anne Hathaway-starring drama *Mother Mary* gets a limited release.
