Goth has called motherhood a "psychedelic experience"
Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth welcomed their daughter, Isabel, in the spring of 2022.
Since then, the pair have spoken about parenthood. “It feels like some kind of weird reset button,” LaBeouf said on the Real Ones podcast in August 2022 shortly after becoming a dad. “I know that I’m never going to be the dude that I was in front of [my daughter]. It’s almost like having the ultimate parole officer. I need somebody to keep me accountable.”
In October 2025, Goth spoke with Elle, calling motherhood a "psychedelic experience."
"You're parenting her, but you're also parenting the version of you that existed when you were that age," she explained. "The amount of love that you can feel ... she's the greatest gift of my life."
LaBeouf and Goth have had an on-and-off relationship since first meeting in 2012. Throughout the years, the Holes alum has continued to draw headlines for his legal troubles. Most recently, he was arrested in New Orleans in February 2026 following an alleged altercation during Mardi Gras and is facing two counts of simple battery.

Goth debuted her baby bump in January 2022

While LaBeouf and the MaXXXine star didn't formally announce they were expecting, the news broke when Goth stepped out in Pasadena, Calif., with a baby bump in late January 2022.
While running errands, she wore a white T-shirt and black leggings, accessorized with sunglasses and Birkenstocks.

The Padre Pio actor and Goth didn’t share an announcement for the birth of their daughter.
Instead, the public learned of the birth when they were seen pushing a baby stroller together in April 2022. At the time, no details were known about the newborn, including name, sex or birthday.
The Infinity Pool actress celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a new mom in a similar fashion, walking through a park in Pasadena pushing a stroller with a “Happy Mother’s Day” balloon attached and LaBeouf by her side, per the Daily Mail.

LaBeouf confirmed his daughter’s birth and name in August 2022

The Peanut Butter Falcon star gave the first details about his child in a letter written to his former Don't Worry Darling director Olivia Wilde, which was published by Variety in August 2022.
"I have a little girl, Isabel; she is five months old and just beginning to develop the last half of her laugh; it's AMAZING," he wrote. "Mia, my wife & I have found each other again & are journeying toward a healthy family with love and mutual respect."
LaBeouf and Goth’s daughter is “joyful”

Despite the actors' privacy surrounding their daughter, LaBeouf has shared bits and pieces about his child's personality with the public. In August 2022, he told fellow actor Jon Bernthal that Isabel is a happy little girl.
“My kid is so f---ing joyful,” he said on the Real Ones podcast. “She’s raised in complete love, and my wife is such a good mother. She’s a part of a new purpose that I didn't have [before].”
LaBeouf has learned a lot from being a father

As Isabel grows, LaBeouf is also learning alongside her. “She’s the most dynamic spark of life and the most magical [thing]. It’s a game-changer,” he told Bernthal. “Out of this newfound discovery of real love in my life [comes] this kid.”
Still, that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a learning curve to becoming a new parent. According to the Holes alum, he thought past life experiences had prepared him enough for fatherhood, but he quickly realized his patience would be tested in completely different situations.
“No one tells you about the first three weeks,” LaBeouf recalled. “When you’re changing a diaper and ... then she s---- again ... and it’s 3 in the morning ... and you’re looking at your kid and thinking, how am I going to get through this?"
He continued, "And you put the fourth diaper on and she doesn't s--- ... it feels like a miracle, it feels like God is hugging you."
Goth wants to be a "steady" presence in Isabel's life

While speaking to Elle in October 2025, Goth opened up about the future she envisions with Isabel.
"I really hope to be something steady for her," she said. "That no matter what happens in her life, she can return to me. No matter what her age, if she's in a s----y relationship or something's not going right at work, she can always come home. And she'll always have a bed to sleep in and a home-cooked meal."
